Housed in an 1840's Coaching Inn Glen Clyde House is located in the Historic village of Hamilton in the upper Derwent Valley, approx one hours easy drive from the capital Hobart. Our convict built home & Gallery is classified by the National Trust of Tasmania. We invite you to experience the charm, history and hospitality of Glen Clyde and enjoy one of Australia's premier displays where we stock exclusively "made in Tasmania" craftwork. The range consists of more than 100 local renowned artisans, ranging from Pottery, Woodwork, Woollens, Pewter, Artwork, Kitchenware, and more, all hand-crafted from native Tasmanian materials. 	Devonshire Teas &/or lunches are served all day. Vegetarians & other dietary needs (Gluten Free) are always catered. The internal cafe can seat 50 people in a non-smoking environment The alfresco dining area seats 22 in comfort.
	Step back in time and dine in the old kitchen with log fires & old bakers oven. Glen Clyde is open daily from 9.00am to 5.00pm (only closed Christmas Day and New Years Day)

After lunch you are welcome to take a leisurely stroll though our 1/4 acre gardens or browse the village & enjoy many wonderful gardens & historic homes.
